About Caracol Glamping

Q: What is Caracol Glamping?

Caracol Camping offers a luxury glamping experience set within the beautiful wildflower meadows of New Park Farm. The site offers 8 fully furnished bell tents that combines comfort, nature, and style, providing guests with a peaceful countryside retreat surrounded by wildlife and open skies.

Q: Where is Caracol Glamping located?

Caracol Glamping is located on New Park Farm in Groombridge, just outside of Royal Tunbridge Wells, nestled in a wildflower meadow that offers a tranquil escape in the heart of the countryside.

Accommodation

Q: What type of accommodation is available?

Caracol Glamping features eight luxury bell tents, each beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, soft linens, rugs, and ambient lighting. The tents are designed to provide a boutique hotel feel while maintaining a close connection to nature.

Q: How many people can each bell tent accommodate?

Each bell tent comfortably sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children, making it ideal for couples and  families.

Q: Are the tents weatherproof?

Yes. The bell tents are fully weatherproof and equipped to keep guests warm and dry in all conditions.

Facilities

Q: What facilities are available on-site?

Guests have access to a range of shared facilities, including:

  • A cosy snug area with sofas for relaxing and socialising
  • A large stretch tent with comfortable seating and communal space
  • Fire pits and outdoor seating areas
  • Clean and well-maintained flushing toilets and rainfall showers – 2 each for ladies and 2 each for men

BBQ & Fire Pits

Q: Is there a BBQ, and do we need to bring charcoal?

Caracol Camping provides a large communal charcoal BBQ, perfect for groups, as well as smaller individual BBQs for each tent.

  • Charcoal: Please bring your own charcoal. If you forget, charcoal can be purchased at Groombridge Farm Shop on the way to the site.

Q: Are campfires allowed, and what is provided for the fire pits?

Yes. There is a large 1-metre communal fire pit outside the snug area, and each tent has its own smaller fire pit.

  • Wood & Kindling: Logs and kindling are sold on-site and can be purchased via a quick scan of the QR code.
  • Firelighters: Please bring your own firelighters.

Kitchen Facilities & Food Storage

Q: What equipment is available in the kitchen?

The communal kitchen is fully equipped and includes:

  • Two 4-ring hobs
  • A microwave
  • An air fryer
  • Toastie makers
  • Plates, cutlery, and BBQ cooking utensils

Q: Do guests have full use of a fridge?

Yes. There are two large fridge-freezers available for communal use, along with cool boxes and ice packs to keep food and drinks chilled.

Q: What basic cleaning supplies are provided?

The kitchen is stocked with washing-up liquid, tea towels, and paper towels.

Power & Charging

Q: Are there plug points on-site to charge devices?

Yes. There are plenty of standard plug sockets and USB ports located in the communal snug and kitchen areas for charging devices.

Q: Is there power for music?

Guests are welcome to use the sockets in the snug or kitchen to plug in a speaker for low-level music.

Music & Noise Curfew

Q: Is there a noise curfew?

Yes. A strict 10 PM noise curfew. As Caracol Glamping is located on a working farm with horses and sheep, and out of respect for neighbours, all music must be turned off or kept very low after 10:00 PM.

Important Note: Loud or heavily amplified music is not permitted at any time. Maintaining low noise levels after 10:00 PM is essential to protect the animals and preserve the site’s license to trade.

Bedding, Towels & Amenities

Q: Is bedding provided? Do we need extra blankets?

  • For Adults: All standard bedding is fully provided in the bell tents. Extra communal blankets and hot water bottles are available if it gets chilly at night.
  • For Children: Airbeds are supplied for children, but please bring their own bedding or sleeping bags.

Q: Do we need to bring towels and soap?

  • Towels: Please bring your own towels for showering.
  • Soap: Washing-up liquid is provided in the kitchen, but guests should bring their own personal shower soap and toiletries.

Wi-Fi & Signal

Q: Is there Wi-Fi?

There is no Wi-Fi on-site, but 4G and 5G mobile coverage is generally very good across the farm

Booking & Check-In

Q: How can we book a stay?

Bookings can be made directly through the Caracol Glamping website or by contacting the team via email or phone. Early booking is recommended, especially during peak summer months.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

Q: Is there a minimum stay requirement?

A two-night minimum stay applies on weekends and during peak season.

Q: What payment methods are accepted?

Payments can be made online via our website using major credit or debit cards. Or direct via email with a BACS payment. Logs and kindling can be purchased on-site via QR code payment.
